Steps forward in communication

Sensory, ambience and environment. All keys words that help to descibe how people living with Autism see the world around them. North is about to embark on an ambitions project that will see the rooms set up with lights and images projected on to the walls to see if a more interesting and changeable environment will help our participants to engage with their surroundings more. 

Anthony and the staff will be using lighting, music and images to change the feel and ambience of the centre as a trial to see if it assists in reducing anxiety and improves moods. 

The projector will be set up in the next few weeks and the software tested. We hope to have the program operating  after the September break and will keep you informed about our progress.
